Our world today is dealing with the ongoing problem of extensive drug use. This blog wants to update viewers on research and studies that are being conducted on the relationship heavy drug use and modern-day concerts. This blog looks into a more specific view of this problem: Is there a link between certain genres of music, in particular house, dance, techno, hip-hop, and rap, and elevated levels of illegal drug use (Opiates, psychedelics, inhalants, hallucinogens, and amphetamines)?
If our leaders can find a solution to this huge problem, there could be a significant decrease in the death rates and mental problems around the world, specifically for adolescents.
This question will be answered through an in-depth analysis of studies conducted by researchers located in the areas where drug-use is a major problem. The picture below shows a "rave". Drug use is typically used the most at these "raves". A rave can be defined as an organized, anti-establishment and unlicensed all-night dance party, featuring various genres of electronically produced dance music, populated by large numbers of youths and young adults.
